SAS Technical Operations Norway has OSL as its base, where we primarily deliver line maintenance to primarily SAS operated aircrafts, but also to Other Airlines. At OSL we also deliver some base maintenance activities. SAS Tech Norway employs 200 highly qualified staff working shifts 24/7.


Production Manager, Maintenance Production

We are looking for a new Production Manager, responsible for Line Maintenance Production at Gardermoen/OSL. Including the responsibility of line stations at Stavanger and Trondheim. The Production Manager is responsible of an organization of total 160 dedicated employees and 7 Duty Managers as direct reports. The organization is operating on a shift pattern with main production/maintenance during the night shift. Lean production is implemented a used across the bases, and we are therefore looking for a person that will keep the momentum in Lean production. You will report to Head of Production DK/NO/SE. You work at SAS Technical Base at Gardermoen. Travels to the other bases in Scandinavia will be a part of the job.

Your main responsibilities will be

  • Making sure that employees are available to performed planned work according to Maintenance requirements
  • Competence of the certifying staff and others is up to standard
  • Required maintenance data is available
  • Required occurrence reporting is made
  • Main driver of improving our Lean tools and standards, such as: Standard Diary, Standardized Work, PPS (Practical Problem Solving), OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), TIP (Tactical Implementation Plan),
  • Budget responsibility

We are looking for a person with

  • Relevant technical background preferable with knowledge of the Aircraft Maintenance industry
  • University degree in relevant field
  • Experienced leader and able to lead through other leaders
  • Documented a minimum 5 years of experience in a leader position, preferably for process production
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Data-driven analysis and decision-making capabilities with experience from driving digitalization
  • Lean knowledge is an advantage, but not a requirement. We will train you in our tools and methods
  • Managing cross-functional collaboration
  • Project management

As a person

In order to work in a safety-restricted area of an airport, you must both be accredited by the police and have an approved background check by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Great communications skills verbal and written in a Scandinavian and English.
