Bank Norwegian is looking for a new Data Scientist to strengthen the risk department

Bank Norwegian is a Nordic bank under constant development and growth with advanced risk management models. Our risk team is known for being one of the most dynamic in the Nordic region and is represented by many nationalities. The data science team in the risk department is responsible for developing, testing, validating, and implementing (within Risk and outside Risk department) models and conducting various analytics tasks. In addition, the team is responsible for developing and maintaining key software engines used in the bank. Bank Norwegian is a data driven bank, who values data driven decisions and facts. We are now facing the launch of new exciting solutions and markets, and therefore want to strengthen our data science team to further increase our capacity.

Data Scientist

With us you get to work with the following:

• Performing various analytics tasks and presenting results
• Developing and maintaining risk monitoring and reporting tools and forecasting
• Performing model development, validation, implementation, and simulation
• Collaboration with the data warehouse, finance, and other departments
• Developing and maintaining the bank's current and future risk management systems

Your qualifications:

• Higher education in quantitative subjects
• Good Experience within credit risk area
• Experience with modeling IFRS9 models (PD, LGD, EAD etc) is a plus
• Strong experience with SQL
• Knowledge of at least one of programming languages used for modelling ( Python and/or R)
• Experience with PowerBI or Tableau is a plus
• Good English is required, Norwegian is a plus
• Experience with any cloud platform is a plus

You consider yourself to be curious and always looking to expand your knowledge. Furthermore, you have the ability to work under tight deadlines and have excellent problem-solving skills. The job will be based at the headquarters at Fornebu, Norway.
